GREENVILLE, SC – Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC has selected the Claremont community of Greenville as the site for its 2010 Southern Living Showcase Home, which will be open to the public for holiday tours beginning in November.
A 74-acre, master-planned community on Roper Mountain Road, Claremont offers 112 homesites, 22 acres of green space and many neighborhood amenities. Spaulding Group at Prudential/C. Dan Joyner Co. markets the community with a sales team led by Margaret Marcum and Leigh Irwin.
Thomas Dillard, president of Dillard-Jones Builders, said Claremont is a perfect fit for the 2010 Showcase Home, citing the community’s established reputation for luxury living, first-class amenities and proximity to dining, shopping and other leisure activities.
The 2010 Southern Living Showcase Home by Dillard-Jones Builders is a custom design by The Johnston Design Group, LLC of Greenville, a nationally recognized leader in sustainable architecture. A LEED For Homes project, the home will be certified ‘green’ by the U.S. Green Building Council. It also will be incorporated into the Southern Living collection of national house plans as the Custom Builder Program’s first collaborative design/build project.
The 3,971-square-foot Southern Living Showcase Home is an open floor plan with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Special features include a chef’s kitchen, media room, study, laundry room with hobby space, butler’s pantry, carriage house, and outdoor living space that includes a screened porch and outdoor fire pit. The Showcase Home will be fully decorated by some of the area’s finest interior designers, and trimmed for the holidays.
